The Best Of Times Is Now

There aren’t many Broadway shows that have won the Best Musical Tony Award every time it has appeared on Broadway, but then again, there isn’t a show like The Production Company’s final 2014 musical La Cage Aux Folles!

Long before Modern Family reached our televisions the idea of modern families was already being explored in La Cage. Set in the French resort town of Saint Tropez, the story follows Georges – the owner of ‘La Cage Aux Folles’ – and his partner Albin – the star attraction in the show. Accompanied by their attractive troupe of Cagelles, the pair enjoy a level of notoriety and celebrity in this small French town. That is until their son returns home engaged to the daughter of an incredibly conservative politician who is trying to rid St. Tropez of drag queen clubs . . . and is on the way to St. Tropez to meet his daughter’s in-laws.

Leading The Production Company’s phenomenal cast is Todd McKenney (Grease, The Boy From Oz) and Simon Burke (Les Miserables, The Sound of Music) accompanied by Rhonda Burchmore, Marg Downey, Gary Sweet, Aljin Abella, Robert Tripolino and Emily Milledge. This main cast is supported by a very strong up-and-coming young cast including Spencer Bignell, Evan Lever, Josh Gates, Lauren McKenna, Wil King, Adam Noviello, Taylor Scanlan, Anthony Sheppard, Gretta Sheriff, Kyle Stevens and Troy Sussman.
