I’ve Had The Time Of My Life
It started in Australia ten years ago and for the 10th anniversary, the world wide hit Dirty Dancing is returning on a national tour. Starring Kurt Phelan and Kirby Burgess as Johnny Castle and the infamous ‘Baby’, this incredibly popular production opens in the Princess Theatre tonight.
Both Kirby Burgess and Kurt Phelan have extensive musical theatre credits. Kurt Phelan has appeared in Singin’ in the Rain, Witches of Eastwick, Saturday Night Fever and Priscilla Queen of the Desert while Kirby Burgess’ credits include Sweet Charity, An Officer and a Gentleman, Hairspray and Channel Ten’s Wonderland.
Alongside these two leads will be Maddie Peat as dance instructor Penny Johnson, Mark Vincent in his musical theatre debut as Billy Kostecki, Adam Murphy and Penny Martin as Baby’s parents and her older sister Lisa is played by Teegan Wouters. The rest of the cast includes Max Bishop, Gabriel Brown, Barry Mitchell, Eric Rasmussen, Erinn Arnel, Kyla Bartholomeusz, Charles Bartley, James Bryers, Aaron James Campbell, Amy Campbell, Anna Freeland, Kim Hudman, Elysha Manik, Sam Marks, James Maxfield, Christ Ostenski, James D Smith, Hannah Stanton and Mitchell Woodcock.
