Following the Spotlight Backstage
Audiences love getting a peek behind the curtain. Discovering more about their favourite celebrities and gaining an insider’s perspective on the lives of these talented individuals. And now there is a new show at Chapel off Chapel which will allow audiences to do exactly that!
Australian singer, musician and comedienne Chelsea Plumley will be leading a new musical variety show at Chapel off Chapel in February, Follow Spot. This show will invite audiences behind the curtain to meet some of the most influential people in Australian theatre through in-depth interviews, hilarious games and candid musical performances – led by Chelsea on the piano with her house band.
For three nights only, each show will give audiences a glimpse into the life of three well-known artists including Rhonda Burchmore, Anne Wood, Julia Zemiro, Queen van de Zandt, John O’May, Judi Connelli, Martin Croft, John Diedrich and Debra Byrne. Plus, the audiences will be treated to some unique unplugged musical performances by these special guests!
Chelsea Plumley will be hosting each intimate show after making her own mark as an influential Australian musical performer. With stints in City of Angels, Guys & Dolls, Grease, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Offspring and hosting the Australian phenomena Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music for the past thirteen years, she is ready to bring audiences on a musical adventure to honour the creative contribution of leading Australian performers.
Follow Spot will play in The Loft at Chapel off Chapel from February 26-28. For more information on this exciting series and to book tickets, visit www.chapeloffchapel.com.au
