The producers of the biggest selling magic show in the world, The Illusionists, have teamed up with the award-winning puppeteers behind the critically-acclaimed War Horse to bring together some of the best traditional circus performers from around the world. Acts will include a cycle artist from Germany, juggling from France, rola bola from Russia, acrobatics from Ukraine, a high wire act from Mexico and a knife thrower from Brazil.

Joining these talented international performers will be the largest ever performing African elephant and her baby . . . brought to life by the puppeteers behind War Horse using ground breaking advances in design and expression. The giant mother and calf will feature throughout the show in a stunning display of true-to-life puppetry.

Transporting the audience back to 1903 will be impeccable recreations of original turn-of-the-century circus costumes by Angela Aaron inspired by authentic photographic collections and studying historical museum pieces accompanied by period music composed by Evan Jolly and performed by a local band of musicians.

This extravagant circus experience is perfect for audiences of all ages and will only be in Melbourne for a strictly limited season at the Regent Theatre from January 3-12. For more information, visit www.circus1903.com
